Effectiveness
As a disinfectant
Sodium Hypochlorite:
- When bleach is used properly, it is a extremely effective disinfectant (99.9% of bacteria and germs)
- Bleach isn't the safest cleaner, so it has a few less uses than vinegar, but for jobs that require a stronger clean, bleach is a better way to go
Acetic Acid:
- Vinegar is a good cleaner around the house for everyday cleaning, as its a quite effective disinfectant
- Vinegar's specialty is washing and disinfecting food areas (dinner tables and the kitchen)
- It is a safe and effective disinfectant, perfect for around the house.
For microbial reduction/antimicrobial efficacy/pathogens
Sodium Hypochlorite:
- Bleach is very effective at killing a very large variety of bacteria
- At times when vinegar may fail, bleach will finish what vinegar started. Bleach is very effective at killing pathogens
Acetic Acid:
- Vinegar is effective at killing microbes due to it being acidic
- Compared to other cleaners, vinegar is a top resource for reducing and killing microbes
- Vinegar is effective at killing pathogens
